Skype has upgraded its Windows Phone app to bring video messaging to the platform. This feature allows users to record a short video message and share it with a Skype contact.
Recording a video message is easy, says Skype. All you have to do is open a conversation and tap + to record a message. Or if you can’t reach a contact by Skype call and choose to send them a video message instead, just tap the prompt and begin recording your message.
Using Skype for Windows Phone you can call friends and family with free Skype to Skype voice calls over 3G or WiFi and make low cost calls to mobiles and landlines around the world. You can make free video calls to anyone else on Skype with high definition video on supported devices and send instant messages to friends on Skype, as well as friends on Messenger if you sign in with your Microsoft account.
You can also stay in touch even when the app is closed, with call and message notifications and you can see all your Skype contacts in the People Hub.
You can download Skype free in the Windows Phone app store.
