Samsung has launched an app that works specifically on its Windows Phone device, the Ativ.
called Share Box, the app allows Samsung smartphones to connect to DLNA-compatible devices (like HDTVs) to play music or video without wires. At the same time, the application can also import, save and play data from other devices sent to your phone. As an added feature, it can serve as a remote control for media playback on other devices.
Apart from Nokia, which has written numerous apps for its Lumia phones, this is the first time another Windows Phone maker has produced an app – perhaps the start of trend.
Share Box is free of charge and can be downloaded from the Windows Phone app store here.
