Now Instagram finally comes to Windows Phone

Instagram comes to Windows Phone

At last Windows Phone will get an official Instagram app. Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has confirmed that an official client will be made available to Windows Phone users soon. “Our ultimate goal is to bring Instagram to everyone who wants to use it,” says Systrom. “We’re looking forward to watching the Windows Phone community use Instagram to capture and share beautiful moments in the coming weeks.”

The app has been top of most Windows Phone users’ wish list for some time and Instagram came under pressure from Nokia to fill the gap.

Nokia and Instagram have not spelled out the app’s features, but have confifrmed that the launch is planned for the coming weeks.

6tag, an unofficial Windows Phone app with similar functionality , recently launched for Windows Phone with full support for photo filters and video uploads. The app has been continually updated, and most recently gained a collage option that is not included in the official Instagram app for iOS or Android.
