Microsoft has updated its Lync 2013 app on the Windows. The update adds a number of new handy features to the application, including the ability to view shared PowerPoint presentation during a Lync meeting.
Microsoft Lync 2013 lets users communicate with their colleagues and co-workers, and schedule meetings. The application also allows users to view shared meeting content during a conference on the handset, initiate group chats with co-workers, transfer calls, and other features for professionals.
According to the Windows app store, ‘Lync 2013 for Windows Phone extends the power of Lync to your mobile device – including voice & video over wireless, rich presence, instant messaging, conferencing, and calling features from a single, easy-to-use interface.’
Along with the ability to view shared presentations, the update also lets you control Lync 2013 using your voice. For instance, if you want to play a voicemail in the application or join a meeting, you can speak and let the application handle the rest.
Microsoft Lync 2013 is available free at the Windows Phone app store here.
