According to the Chinese language WPDang, Lenovo is set to release a high end Windows Phone later in 2013.
The handset, which may have the code name Lenovo Aupres (or Lenovo Snoopy – according to evLeaks) is said to have a Quad-core processor, 1080P screen which is 4.7 inch or 5 inch, and will be priced at 3,000 yuan ($488) or less.
Windows Phone 8 GDR3 is said to enable support for higher screen resolution and the more powerful processor, which will enable an extra column of live tiles on the home screen.
The specification itself is no surprise – the next update of Windows Phone – GDR3 – will probably see 1080p, quad core devices from every Windows Phone manufacturer this year. Suspects already include Nokia, Huawei, Samsung, HTC, and at LG (see recent stories in Windows Phone News)
